Fuzzy Navel Smoothie

Fuzzy Navel Smoothie is a refreshing blend of frozen peaches, orange juice and vanilla almond milk.  The addition of Peach Schnapps is optional if you are into adultifying it!

Fuzzy Navel Smoothie: A refreshing blend of peaches, orange juice and vanilla almond milk #smoothie

I've said it before, I don't really like to drink my calories and I'm not a huge smoothie fan, BUT something life changing happened a few weeks ago that is making amend those past statements.  I purchased my first high powered blender!

Yup, I picked up a Pro model Ninja blender a few weeks ago, and I've been in blending bliss ever since.  I just happened to stumble upon a great sale for it and my youngest son, who does love blending up smoothies, was all for me getting it.  I, on the other hand, really wanted to make nut butters with it.  So it wasn't much of a struggle deciding whether it should go into our cart or not.

This smoothie was born from ingredients we had on hand in the fridge/freezer.  A bag of frozen peaches, orange juice, almond milk and a little agave for extra sweetness.  The Ninja made quick work of turning the ingredients into a lovely peachy treat...almost dessert worthy!

Now I haven't done it, but I am certain a shot or two of Peach Schnapps would be an awesome addition to this drink, if you want to kick it up a notch!  We enjoyed it virgin style, but I just might add this little kick the next time we blend one up.  I'm pretty sure that will be very soon, because these flavors are awesome together!

So here's where I talk about what's been happening in my life, only I haven't done it for awhile!

Well, fall is definitely in the air here in NE Ohio this week.  Brrrrr.  I'm praying I won't have to turn on my furnace for at least another month...although I wouldn't put any money on it happening that way.  I do enjoy fall though.  Especially the flavors of fall.  THIS recipe, however, is summer all the way.  We've still got Indian Summer to look forward too, right?

I just got back from a short trip to visit my daughter in the Milwaukee area and a two day visit to Chicago.  Highlight of my trip was my visit to Eataly.  Hopefully, I can post about that at some point.  But let me say, if I don't, and you get to either Chicago or New York, this is a must see place!

I've got lots and lots of good food posts lined up for the rest of this month too!  So make sure you check back periodically and/or follow me on all my social sites!

  1. I haven't thought of fuzzy navels in ages! My step-son has the ninja blender and it is amazeballs - nice purchase!

Loved seeing all your pics on Instagram of your trip - I've been to Eataly, but sadly the waits were 2+ hours for any of the restaurants. Going to hit the one up in NY next week though!

    1. I wish I would have been in the city longer so we could have planned a meet up. I never seem to be there for any length of time and my schedule is always packed! I'm so glad you enjoyed my photos. Honestly could not have asked for nicer weather, for sure! If you do go to Eataly in NY, go early, and plan to eat lunch.

  6. We are huge on smoothies in this house. I have a NutriBullet and that thing is going nearly every day. Great list of ingredients. I have never considered adultifying my smoothies but I like the way you think ;)

  7. ha and your preaching to the booze hound here. ;) I would probably add a shot of vodka to it as well as a shot or two of schnapps. ;)
