S'mores....oh how I love them! This Easy S'mores Fondue is simply amazing! No campfire needed to get all the taste of ooey gooey S'mores in an easy to make, fun to eat, anytime treat!! With this s'mores fondue recipe, any day can be a S'mores day!
How did I dream up this deliciousness you ask?
I first measured out some half and half then heated it up in the microwave.
(recipe follows)
Once it was nicely warmed, I broke up some Hershey's® Milk Chocolate Bars into sections and let them melt into the warm half and half.
It didn't take long for the chocolate to begin to melt. Once it had softened, I whisked the mixture together into a silky, rich chocolate ganache.
Next I placed the Kraft® Jet Puffed Marshmallows on top of the chocolate mixture...
and placed the dish under the broiler for about 5 minutes until the tops of the marshmallows were toasted just right.
All that was left for me to do was grab a Graham Cracker Square and dig in!
I know you want a bite! Will you be making this smore's fondue for your family, your friends or just for YOURSELF?

The weather here in NE Ohio can be so darn unpredictable. Take this week, for example. Rain and thunderstorms every single evening! And let's not even begin to talk about the nasty winters we endure here. Definitely not "campfire" friendly! That's why I am so excited to bring you this YUMMY version of indoor S'mores. The only equipment needed for this speedy smore's fondue recipe is your microwave and your broiler right in your kitchen! You don't even need a fondue pot to make this! Seriously, this smore's fondue is so easy you can even make it as a weeknight dessert!
If you don't make another recipe from my blog, do yourself a favor and at least make this easy smore's fondue! You won't be disappointed, I promise!
The Hershey's® Milk Chocolate Bars melt into the warm half and half creating rich liquid chocolate which is topped with perfectly roasted Kraft® Jet Puffed Marshmallows. Honey Maid® Graham Cracker Squares make the prefect vessel to collect and eat the gooey chocolate marshmallow goodness!
How did I dream up this deliciousness you ask?
Last week. while I was at Walmart, I stumbled upon THIS display...
Yep, all the makings of the perfect S'more...but the day I was shopping...it was, of course...raining. (Remember when I told you it has rained every single day here this week?)
All I could think about was enjoying melty S'mores! So the wheels started to turn and I thought about how I could create S'mores in my kitchen. ( I don't have a gas stove, so roasting the marshmallows over the flame was not an option.) That's when the idea for this Easy S'mores Fondue was born.
I grabbed the chocolate, marshmallows and graham crackers off the display and headed for the dairy aisle where I picked up a carton of half and half, then headed home to create my masterpiece.
I first measured out some half and half then heated it up in the microwave.

Easy S'mores Fondue
Published 06/19/2015
Hershey's® Milk Chocolate Bars, half and half and Kraft® Jet Puffed Marshmallows come together in this speedy S'mores inspired fondue!
Ingredients
- 1/2 - 3/4 cup half and half
- pinch of kosher salt (optional)
- 5 to 6 (1.55 oz.) Hershey's® Milk Chocolate Bars, broken into pieces
- enough Kraft® Jet Puffed Marshmallows to cover chocolate
- Honey Maid® Graham Cracker Squares, for dipping
- strawberries, for dipping
Instructions
- In a 2-3 cup microwave safe, oven safe crock, pour half and half in and add salt if desired. (the salt helps balance out the sweet)
- Heat half and half for 1-2 minutes on HIGH, but do not boil. (all microwaves heat differently, you want the half and half to be very warm to touch)
- Add in the chocolate pieces and allow to sit for about a minute. Once you see the chocolate is starting to melt, whisk mixture into a smooth, thick ganache.
- Place marshmallows, side by side, on top of the chocolate mixture to cover.
- Place under broiler for about 5 minutes, or until tops of marshmallows are nicely browned. Watch closely!
- Remove and serve with crackers and strawberries. If fondue cools off too much, put back in microwave for 30 seconds to warm it up.
Yield: about 2 cups fondue
Prep Time: 00 hrs. 03 mins.
Total time: 10 mins.

ReplyDeleteThanks so much KC!
DeleteI WILL be trying these! My kids love S'mores!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim!! I hope you love this as much as I did. If you refrigerate the leftovers, the ganache hardens and the marshmallow gets super soft, making it a great cold spread to put on your crackers...OR you can just eat it with a spoon like I did! haha
DeleteThis is such a genius idea!!! I love that you made a fondue! :)
ReplyDeletethanks so much Sheena.

ReplyDeleteOur family would have loads of fun with this recipe!
ReplyDeleteI would like to try that recipe, but because I don't speak english well I couldn't understand what means that first thing at the recipe? Mean that 1/2 - 3/4 cup half and half? Did you put some cream to the cup? Maybe a little bit indistinct part :
ReplyDeleteYou will add about a half a cup of half and half cream (that is a cream/milk mixture) Milk would work fine. You may want to add a little more milk than a half a cup if you want it a little thinner. Hope this helps!
DeleteThis is such a genius idea!!! I love that you made a fondue! :)
